"There is no innovation without disobedience to the rules" - this is the family philosophy behind the creation of Encelade - a company specializing in the production of innovative and exclusive cufflinks.
Encelade is the French name for Enceladus, one of Saturn's moons, which was discovered in 1789, the year of the French Revolution. The date of the satellite's discovery was a determining factor in choosing the name for the brand, as the two French cousins who founded the company also revolutionized the concept of cufflinks.
Cufflinks for gifts
The brothers worked to create an innovative, original and very reliable design that would also be pleasant and easy to wear. More than two years of painstaking research, design and engineering work were spent to achieve the desired result, and the inspiration for the creation of these truly unique cufflinks was the philosophy of Haute Horlogerie (High Watchmaking).
The result turned out to be a fascinating, truly rare feat in this field!
Enceladus orbits Saturn within one of its outer rings. The same ring concept has been retained in the cufflinks, which have several rings that rotate one around the other thanks to a unique bearing system. The bearings used (eight to twelve per pair of cufflinks - a record for this type of product) are among the smallest in the world. They are completely silent (a sign of extremely high quality) and their maximum rotation speed is around 150,000 revolutions per minute! In steel or 18-carat gold, with or without diamonds, these cufflinks are proof that innovation is the engine of success. The hand-carving, polishing, grinding and extreme care with which these cufflinks are made deserve to be included in the Foundation of Fine Watchmaking.
The pleasure of wearing Encelade will last as long as Encelade continues its orbital movement in space.
