The collectible copy has been preserved in excellent condition with the original cloth boards and décor in the form of ornamental embossing. The title page and pages with poetic texts contain engraved artistic frames with a monogram and date: “ИБ 1919”. The signature-monogram “ИБ” belongs to the artist I.M. Buryachko.  On the top cover of the binding, there is the signature of the author of the decoration an outstanding artist V. Sichinsky. The portrait of Taras Shevchenko was painted by Fotiy Krasytskyi. The publication is full of magnificent artistic illustrations and vignettes of the famous graphic artist Athanasius Georgievich Slastion (1855-1933) made for the 1886 edition. It should be noted that the foreword of the book says that such an illustrated edition was the only one at that time and all the drawings perfectly conveyed the depth of the master’s poetry through artistic images.
