The sculpture "Hetman" by Andrey Ozyumenko

In 2014, the famous Ukrainian sculptor Andrey Ozyumenko, using bronze casting and embossing techniques, created an interesting one-of-a-kind statuette that represents a collective image of the mighty and rebellious Cossacks and their military leaders – hetmans. Hetmans were the leaders of the Ukrainian state who exercised full authority over the Cossack army and defended the interests of the state.
This statuette won the Azure Wave contest at the 14th International Jewelry Exhibition in Odessa. It caused a sensation since the statuette had been designed so carefully and scrupulously that it became a vivid embodiment of the wisdom, courage, and liberty of the Ukrainian people.
