Exclusive statuette "George the Victorious" Peter Ozyumenko

Petr Ozyumenko is one of the most famous Ukrainian sculptors. Together with his brother, Andrei Ozyumenko, he creates remarkable sculptures and statuettes mainly from bronze with various precious stones. Their sculptures initially seem simple, yet the Ozyumenko brothers are fully capable of combining expansiveness and harmony, which is very beneficial for the result. The handmade bronze statuette St. George the Victorious demonstrates full might and power of St. George. It is commonly known that St. George, distinguished by his superior intelligence, courage and physical strength, was one of the captains over a thousand warriors and a favourite of the emperor Diocletian himself. Yet when the persecution of Christians began, he gave all his property to the poor of Nicomedia and declared himself a Christian before the emperor. After that, he was arrested and tortured. He suffered many torments and ended his life in martyrdom.
