Bronze figurine "Oscar" by Peter Ozyumenko

The sculptors Ozyumenko brothers were born on the same day December 13, 1978, in Kyiv. Petr and Andrey are practical idealists who are able to recognize not only the global philosophical picture but also the individual details that underline the overall structure. By a fluke of providence, they graduated from the Taras Shevchenko State Art School and entered the faculty of sculpture of the National Academy Of Fine Arts And Architecture. Later they began to participate in many all-Ukrainian exhibitions, winning various competitions. Their sculptures initially seem simple, yet the Ozyumenko brothers are fully capable of combining expansiveness and harmony, which is very beneficial for the result. One of such creations is the well-known Oscar, carefully and scrupulously designed by Petr Ozyumenko without forgetting about the main result. The statuette is made from bronze and basalt using the gilding technique. This figurine, as is well known, is given annually in the United States for outstanding cinematic achievements. The first distribution of awards to the best actors and actresses of the United States was conducted in 1927.
